Sean Roberts writes mostly about the Brewers at Sausage Racing Form. You can find him on twitter at @sean_hq or at sausageracingform.wordpress.com.
Very interesting Sean and very well written.
Jose Dariel Abreu. That is all.
Yes, enjoyed watching him the WBC this year. If I remember correctly, he didn’t wear batting gloves, either. Very old school.
Shouldn’t it be “puerco frito”? Also, Ropa Vieja is the best.
Nice little article though
One more thing: love your conclusion (“well, ok”). Seriously. I’m terrible at writing conclusions, but yours is simple and works.
“Puerco fritas,” is how it is on menus actually… http://www.versaillescuban.com/menu-item/entrees
And yes, ropa vieja would have been the next food example I used in the piece.
Well it says “Macitas de puerco fritas”, so I think in this case “fritas” is describing “macitas” (what does macitas mean anyway? I’m guessing chunks), which would explain the feminine plural. But if it was just fried pork I think it would be “puerco frito”. :Þ
Also, is Versailles any good? I pass by it all the time but I’ve never tried it!
Those guavas with cream cheese look great
